Kyson turned FIVE

It's hard to believe that my little guy is already FIVE.  Kyson's actual birthday was Saturday (which was also Grandpa Mason's funeral so we celebrated a couple days early)  We were feeling bad because we didn't want him to have a sad birthday and then I was worried that we would be sad because Nana and Papa weren't there to celebrate, but we had a party Thursday night with our family, he had his preschool party on Friday and then after the funeral we went and hung out at Nana and Papas and they sang to him there.  He said he loved having three birthdays this year.  Ha ha I guess that made up for the unexpected change of plans and worry about him not having a good birthday.

For our family celebration we always let them pick where they want to go as a family and they get to pick the restaurant for dinner.  Kyson wanted to go to the trampoline park and go get pizza.  So that is what we did.  After dinner my parents and Great Grandpa Thomas met us at our house and celebrated with some cake and ice cream.  I kept asking him what kind of cake he wanted and he wanted a tractor cake (the same as the past two years) He LOVES anything that pulls trailers and tractors.  He was SO EXCITED when he got to help me decorate his cake.  It was so fun to get to spend the entire day Thursday with him and just making him feel so special all day.  He kept asking if he could open is presents and I kept telling him he had to wait for dad to come home to open them and I told him, "that is the best part of your birthday, is the waiting and the excitment" and he said to me, "that's the lamest part"  I just cracked up.

I love Kyson so much!!  He is such a sweetheart and such a good helper around the house.  He LOVES the elderly and babies.  He has been saying lately that he wants to be a doctor and I wouldn't be surprised if he was because he LOVES taking care of people.  He still LOVES the color orange, he is so friendly with everyone, he is such a good big brother, and he is still as spunky as ever.  I don't know what our family would do without him.  He makes life so much fun, we love you buddy!!
Boden was so excited when he woke up to the house decorated with balloons everywhere, it was little kid heaven.
Look how handsome my little man is. . .

Like I said, he loves the elderly and Grandpa Thomas is definitely one of those people he has a special place in his heart for.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY our big FIVE year old : )

A little trip to Boise, ID

We had the chance a couple weekends ago to take a little trip up to Boise, ID and see one of my favorite couples get sealed for time and all eternity.  We left Friday afternoon and came home Saturday night.  Although it was about a 4 1/2 hour drive, it didn't seem like that at all.  I LOVED every minute of it.  It was so nice for Zac and I to get to be together without kids and just enjoy each other.  He is truly is my best friend and I am so lucky to get to spend eternity with him.  I love talking to him about everything (most the time just blabbing and he is so good to just listen) and the way Zac always makes me laugh.

Out of all of Zac's friends, Shawn has always had a special place in my heart.  Shawn is one of the most amazing men I have ever met.  He is loving, he is patient, he is kind, he is genuine and most of all he is real.  We had the chance to meet Melanie before they got married and she is just as perfect as him.  I love them both so much!!  I love hearing stories about high school and all the torment Shawn went through with Zac and yet he still loved Zac and was so patient with him.  I hope one day I can be half as amazing as these two.  I am so happy for them and it was so good to get to spend their special day with them.

Amazing Man, Example and Spiritual Giant. . .

Grandpa Mason returned home to his Father in Heaven last night.  This man has made a huge impact on not only the Mason family but everyone he came in contact with.  He was an amazing friend, example and a spiritual giant for everyone.  Grandma and Grandpa's love for each other was amazing!!  There wasn't one time I didn't see them holding hands or hugging one another when they were together.  I hope I can have the love and friendship with Zac like they did after 60 years of marriage.  It was amazing to see.  He will be greatly missed but I am so grateful for the gospel and the knowledge I have to know without a doubt that we will be together again someday.  We love you so much grandpa!!

Say Cheese

This is what Bo looked like when I went in his room yesterday.  I love all the milk cups around him, he looks like he passed out from a milk coma.

Happy Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year.  The first house we went trick-or-treating to Beckem grabbed a candy out of his bag and handed it to the guy, but then a couple houses later he realized what it was all about and he LOVED it!!  He was so dang fun to watch.  He would come running off of the porches and have to show us the candy he got at each house and then he would RUN to the next house.  Tegan and Kyson were so good about waiting for him.  I love my boys so much and the joy they bring to our lives.  They definitely make holidays so much fun!!
I love Bo in this picture. He was so good to just ride in the stroller and cheese for the camera.

I really haven't gotten into Lord of the Rings, but apparently from what everyone said, they look like the characters.  Tate did a good job on all the costumes though.

Rogers Halloween Party

My mom started a tradition that we do a Halloween party a few days before Halloween so that on Halloween we can just go trick or treating and this way we can see everyone in their costumes.  It was such a fun night.  My parents went all out.  We made hot dog mummies for dinner, decorated pumpkins, played Halloween twister, had a pinata, the adults had a race to eat a doughnut off the string, played Halloween BINGO, had got lots of goodies.  I love my family so much and am so grateful for my parents and all they do for us.  They are amazing!!

A bee, ladybug and a bug catcher.  LOVE IT!!
These costumes were AMAZING!!  Justin and Nicole made these costumes.  They were unbelievable!!  They are so talented they should have gone to a costume contest because they would have for sure won!!
Addilyn made the cutest little Boo : )

October Fun

The boys were so excited to all be skeletons this year.  Here they are on our way to our ward Halloween party.  They LOVED having their faces painted.

I was trying to get ready one day and this is how I found Kyson and Rozlyn.  Kyson LOVES babies!!
I am so lucky to have nieces.  Rozlyn and I had some girl time the other day.  When I got done Beckem crawled up on the counter and saw her and said, "oh mom, Rozlyn's bleeding"  I just laughed, my boys have no clue what all this girl stuff is about.

Our neighbor gave us a pretty good size bike jump the other day and I told the boys that they were not allowed to go off it until they get some helmets.  So, the other night when I was at work they had a boys night out and went and got themselves some helmets.  They LOVE them.  Beckem thinks he is pretty big when he steals the boys helmets and wears them around.

Trout Farm Field trip

Wee Weber went on a field trip to the trout farm in North Ogden.  Kyson was SO EXCITED to ride the bus.  They had a corn maze we walked through, we got to feed the fish and then they got to pick out their own pumpkin.  Kyson loved it.

I love the Bolos kids so much!!
