First Day of Preschool

Tegan had his first day of school today. He LOVED it. He was so excited all morning to go. It was funny at breakfast there was a fly flying around our kitchen and he said, "Mom, don't let that fly mess my hair up, I have to go to school." I just started to laugh and reminded him that he didn't have any hair to mess up. He is so cute!! I am so excited for him to learn so much this year and have fun at school. Teacher Sue is AWESOME!!

He is looking so grown up!!
After we got home from school I put Kyson down for his nap and Tegan came outside with me. I mowed the lawn and then pulled weeds the flower bed. Tegan "helped" me weed the flower bed. While he was helping me he said, "Man, this one is a tough one, we sure are woking hard" I just started to smile. Then about two minutes went by and he said "I need to go play with my trucks now because I have worked so hard" Ha ha, where does he come up with this stuff. When we were all done pulling weeds we came inside and he said, "I need to go wash my hands because I worked so hard and they are so dirty" : ) I love kids!!

Homeless Friend

Something touch me this weekend and it's moments like this that I always want to remember. I went for a walk to see Zac on Thursday night and there was a homeless lady sitting in Maverik's parking lot, thinking nothing of it I just walked on by did our usual nightly routine of going to see Zac at the side job. The next day (about 24 hours later) I was driving home and noticed this lady was still sitting outside of Maverik. The day had been so HOT and she had only moved about five feet. I went home and grabbed some bottles of water and went to meet this sweet lady. Her name was Marjorie, she was very nice. That 30 minutes or so that I got to spend with her opened my eyes and touched my heart. As I left Marjorie I just thought about how blessed I am to have my family and a home to come home to each night. Though I thought I was helping someone in need, I think I was actually the one in need. She helped me realize the simple, but beautiful things we have in our lives. I have such a great husband, two amazing boys, food on my table every night and TONS more to be thankful for. Even though Marjorie had been sitting there over 24 hours she still had a smile on her face and was happy about life. I wish no one in this world had to be homeless or go hungry, it just doesn't seem fair!!
After we came back that night from the almost newlywed game for Krystal and Jayk Marjorie was gone. Hopefully she found the ride she was looking for to head North. I am so grateful for people like Marjorie who are placed in my life to help make me a better person!!

Busy, Busy Weekend

Hair Show and Bridal Gown Show
During the bridal gathering for the Standard-Examiner Krystal was one of the two hairsylist to be a part of wedding updo's in the hair show. I was her short hair model. She is amazing when it comes to hair. After the hair show we were part of the modeling show for the bridal gowns and formal dresses. Our good friend Jen Thorpe was over the whole show, she did awesome!!
Me, Riley White and Allie Thorpe
(I remember going to the hospital when Allie was born, crazy that she is so grown up now. I love the whole Thorpe family!!)

Almost Newlywed Game
This cute couple was in the almost newlywed game, they did so awesome, but lost by one question : ( Too bad they couldn't live up to mine and Zac's title ha ha JK!! They are so cute though and it was fun for them to find out more about each other.

I love this man!!

Feeding the Ducks
We went and fed the ducks in North Ogden. Tegan loved the ducks, but Kyson had more fun eating the bread and chasing the seagulls. I couldn't believe it the ducks didn't really care for our whole wheat bread, fussy ducks..oh well more for Ky : )

A day at the splash pad...

Today we spent the day at the Riverdale splash pad. It was so much fun to catch up and spend time together again. Even though it has only been five months (or maybe even longer) since we have gotten together it has felt like FOREVER!! It was so fun to see everyone again and get to hang out. It amazing to think back, eight years ago, when all of us met thanks to the good old McKay Dee Hospital (holla to the CNA's). I love these girls so much and I love hanging out and watching our families grow together!! They are awesome!! Jen, Bethany, Me and Sarah

I love that these two "cheese it" so cute for pictures!!

I love these boys

Proud Mommy Moment

I am sorry if this is too much information for some people, but I am so proud of my little Kyson. Sunday at my mom's house Ky went potty in the potty, both #1 and #2. This may not seem like a big deal to a lot of people, but it is to me. I am so excited because it means we are one step closer to being potty trained. I love watching my kids learn new things, watching their faces light up when they figure things out and seeing them be so proud of themselves for their simple, but big (to them) accomplishments. Way to go Ky!! Potty training here we come...

Creative

I often feel guilty for not being a more creative mom and doing fun creative things with the boys. Today I thought it would be fun to get out the foam stickers and make pictures. Well, not even five minutes into it I looked over and this was what Tegan was doing with the stickers. So much for the pictures we were supposed to make. Tegan and Kyson were laughing so hard and having fun so I guess that's all that matters.

Yuba Lake

This past weekend we went down and played at Yuba Lake. Zac's cousin Ashley started a family tradition to spend a weekend with the whole family at the lake. We went last year and this year. It is so fun down there. It's so nice to just sit and relax and play with everyone. It was a nice and well needed getaway. The boys playing in the sade and just hanging out

Daddy and Tegan building a sand castle
All the guys had a mad game of beach football. It was quite entertaining.
Hadley had a blast in the mud puddles the kids built

Kyson was so tired, he fell asleep while they were out on the tube

After we got home Justin brought over his awesome WORK car and took us for a ride. It was pretty sweet. Thanks for the fun ride Justin!!

Animals, animals and more animals...

Yesterday we went to see Zac at work and take him lunch. Since he is working up in Logan I thought it would be fun to take the boys to the Willow Park Zoo. After lunch we headed over to see the animals and when we got there I found out that it was also the Cash County Fair . So, after we went to the Zoo (I was actually really impressed, I don't remember the zoo being that nice and fun) we walked over to the fair and saw even more animals. The boys were loving every minute of it. Kyson didn't want to smile for any pictures though, he kept saying, "no cheese, no cheese" everytime I would pull out the camera so that is why he is not looking at the camera in any pictures. I had to put this first picture in here from the other day because I think Kyson looks so cute and he is actually smiling at the camera.

My camera died so I had to use my camera on my phone that's why the next pictures are kind of crapy...

This poor pig, I was talking to Kyson and turned around and this is what Tegan did to the pig, but apparently the pig didn't mind because he just kept on sleeping...sorry little piggy!!

She's getting MARRIED!!

On Tuesday August 10 Ms. Krystal Mae Rogers officially got engaged to Jayk McMillan. Jayk is a really good guy and they will make such a cute couple. Here are some snapshots of her when I went to congratulate her...can you tell she LOVES the camera : ) Ha ha. Congrats guys, I am so excited for you two!!
