Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

It has been a LONG time since we have received this much snow.  We are so sick of shoveling however the boys are LOVING playing in it everyday.  The dogs were even enjoying it the other day.  They climbed up the snow pile and were jumping on the tramp.  It was hilarious to watch.
These cute kids have made several igloos this year.  The amount of snow is CRAZY!!

Another Angel in Heaven

Sweet Grandma Miller returned Home to our Heavenly Father on Jan. 14, 2017.  She was a fighter and didn't want to give up but her body was done fighting. She will be missed but we are so grateful that we will get to see her again someday.  Until then, we will just enjoy another angel in Heaven to watch over us.

Tegan Started Basketball

Our Saturday mornings now involve basketball games for Tegan.  He is doing really good this year.  I love watching my boys learn and grow in sports.  Its so fun!!

NFL season. . . GO PACK GO

I love NFL season!!  Go Pack Go!!

Four Blessings

I was lying on the couch sleeping when I heard a few thumps in the laundry room.  I kept my eyes closed and tried to hear what was going on.  I heard all four boys whispering to each other.  I could tell they were putting all of their snow clothes on.  I ran upstairs to go to the bathroom and when I came back downstairs Kyson was standing in the kitchen.  He said, "Oh no, you are not supposed to be awake.  We are getting ready to go out and shovel.  We wanted to do service for you." I told him that dad was still asleep and I would keep a secret so they went out front and went to work.  These four little blessings in our lives shoveled our driveway.

Sometimes I get really impatient and forget how blessed I am.  Boys are rowdy and I forget that sometimes.  I need to work on being more patient, but I love times like this that make me stop and realize how blessed we really are.  They are amazing kids!!

Monster Jam 2017

We had another fun year at Monster Jam.  This is a fun family tradition that we have.  We normally ride the front runner (the "train") down but yesterday it was 2 degrees and we didn't want to have to wait in the cold to catch the train.  We just drove down this year.  It was CHILLY walking from the parking garage to the stadium but we made it.  It was a really good show this year.  Such fun times!!

Cuddling

Now that our kids are out of the baby stage I am LOVING motherhood.  Don't get me wrong. . . there are many days, sometimes many hours that I lose my patience and get frustrated, but overall I really do LOVE being a mother.  Now that our kids are a little bigger we can do a lot of fun things as a family and everyone can be involved.  I LOVE it!!  One thing that is bad about the boys growing up though is my cuddling a sleeping child is almost obsolete.  I LOVE to snuggle a sleeping child, there is just something about it that melts my heart.
The other day I was helping Tegan with his homework and Boden was having a rough afternoon.  I told me to come sit on my lap while I helped Tegan and within minutes he was OUT!!  After I got done helping Tegan I took Boden over to the couch and we cuddled. I LOVED every minute of it!!  He was SNORING up a storm and I just sat and took it all in.  I can't believe how fast the boys are growing up and I need to be better about taking time to enjoy the little moments that I have with them.  I am SO BLESSED!!

Watching Allie Grow

All growing up I have loved kids and I still do.  I LOVED babysitting and earning money while I played with kids.  It was GREAT!!  I thought I would love motherhood because it would be one endless job of babysitting.  Boy was I wrong.  I love being a mother but had NO CLUE how much work, patience and energy it takes.  Instead of getting paid to be a mother you are constantly giving up your money. . . what a rip off. . . ha ha JK
One of the girls I loved to "mother" when I was younger was Allie Thorpe.  She was one of my favorites!!  She is growing up so fast.  Her dad sent us this picture of Krystal, Allie and myself.  It's fun to look back and reminisce.  Life is crazy, it has it's challenges but it is also so WONDERFUL!!  I am so blessed!!

New Years Eve 2016

We had another FUN new years eve.  The adults went to dinner at Union Grill and then to the movies.  We saw Collateral Beauty.  After the movies we went to get the kids and headed back to the Bolos' house.  Bre had some fun games planned for the adults and the kids.

Once midnight hit the crazy mess happened.  Every year they get more and more of their confetti tubes.  The kids have so much fun with the confetti mess.  Such fun times!!  Here is goodbye to a great 2016 and a hello to 2017!!
