Junk to Treasure

One day while camping Zac went on a motorcycle ride.  He came back to camp and told me he found a trailer.  He wanted to go back and get the trailer.  I agreed to go just check it out.  After we got up on the mountain Zac kept telling me how much money he could make if he could haul this trailer out of the mountain.  The trailer was probably about 50 feet off a cliff on the side of the road.  He hooked both of his tow straps together and it was just barely long enough.  When we started to pull it up the hill I asked him what he was going to do when it got to the top because the road was downhill.  All I could picture was this trailer chasing us down the road.  Zac just said, I will just stop on the top of the cliff.   Luckily his plan worked out.  We were able to get it hooked up and drag it back to camp.  The sides were BARELY hanging on.  It was funny to watch the people look at us as we drove back to camp.

When we got back to camp, Zac hooked a tow strap around the trailer and then to a tree and he exploded the trailer.  It was awesome

.

I had a job interview right in the middle of our trip that I had to drive back to McKay-Dee Hospital.  We were able to load up this trailer project and bring it back down when I came down for my interview.  We drove five hours one day, woke up and had my interview and drove five hours back up to camp.  It was a long trip but we survived.  Beck and Bo came down with us and they were AMAZING!!  They were SO GOOD the whole time!!  I was so proud of them.

Zac worked hard after we got home and made this trailer out of the whole thing.  He was able to turn around and sell it for $700.00.  He is AMAZING!!

Idaho Trip 2018

A few of the days were chilly so the boys had fun coloring with the girls in their trailer
The boys made their own fishing poles and were trying to fish in the creek

Of course we had to build some jumps
Papa built a swing set and Boden loved helping Papa and learning how to use the tools

The swing set was a huge hit.  The boys were on it constantly

 Liz and Kyson
 Boden and Sam
 Coloring eggs with Aunt Brandje
 Tegan, Boden, Sam and Kyson
Nana and Papa with the grandkids that were able to make it this year
 Boden and Keema

Aunt Brandje always does that best things up camping.  This year she did a circus theme.  She had games/activities, the kids won tickets and then they were able to use their tickets to get candy and toys.  She went way overboard and brought up so much stuff.  The boys loved it!! She SPOILED them!!

Tender Mercy: On Father's Day it was rainy and pretty cold.  We decided to go for a family drive to get out of the trailer.  We went up to Germania to see what was in the geocashe can.  The road up there is pretty rough and scary at times.  There were a couple of spots Zac had to use our truck and remove trees out of the way.  We got almost up to the top and there was a huge tree stuck on another tree and we weren't able to move it.  We decided to turn around and go back to camp.  Kyson was sitting in the back seat and resting his head on the window.  He was getting tired so he put his head down on the arm rest of the truck.  Minutes later a branch, that we didn't see, slammed into the door and shattered the window.  Kyson started screaming and I didn't know he had his head down so I thought the branch had cut him. After I jumped out of the truck to help him I realized that he was just scared and glass was all over him.  We got him cleaned up.  If Kyson had not put his head down then he could of gotten injured really bad.  We are so grateful for the angels that were watching over us that day and for the blessing of no one getting hurt.

 Zac and Boden

Nana decided to hop on the motorcycle and take it for a spin

 Tegan celebrated his 11th birthday

Aunt Brandje and Shawn gave him this box full of balloons full of notes and money.  It was such a CUTE birthday gift!!

Boden pulled out his own tooth.  We were worried that the tooth fairy wouldn't find us, but lucky for Boden. . . she did!!
