Merry Christmas and Skiing

Christmas fell on a Sunday this year.  We woke up, opened presents and went to church.  It was a nice relaxing 45 minutes at church then we went to be with family and celebrate our Savior.  We went up to see Nana/Papa and ate the famous Omelet.  After we visited there for awhile we went down to see Grandpa and Grandma Rogers.  Justin and Krystal both came over with their families.  It was a nice day with family!!  The day after Christmas, Grandpa took Tegan and Kyson skiing.  They caught up with Justin and the kids and they skied together for a little bit in the afternoon.  I love that my dad is still able to take them skiing and make those memories with them.  We are so blessed!!

Christmas Eve

The morning of Christmas Eve the Venables invited us to go sledding with them up on their property.  The boys had a BLAST!!

The boys spoiled me and bought me a heated coat and gave it to me a day early.  I was so warm and had so much fun watching the boys play in the snow.

On Christmas Eve the boys went around with Brandje to deliver her Christmas gifts.  One of her stops was Johnny’s house and they loved visiting him and seeing all of his tractors.  Brandje is such an angel and we are so blessed to get to cal her our family.  She has a heart of gold and does so much for everyone else.  I look up to her so much and love her with all my heart!!

Christmas Adam

Jayk had to work on Christmas Eve so they wrote Santa a letter to come a night early.  So we went down to Krystals house to celebrate Christmas Eve with their family.  Jenna and Tayden were at our house the night before and were talking about her family party that is always on December 23rd and they call it Christmas Adam, because Adam comes before Eve. I was laughing so hard. So, I called Krystal and told her thanks for holding Christmas Adam for us then she said, well it’s Christmas Eve for us so I guess Adam wants to be Eve but he’s really just still Adam. . . Sounds about right in 2022.  We were laughing so hard.  I seriously love my sister so much and am SO GRATEFUL for the friendship her and I share together.  She is one of my best friends!!

We played Left, Right, Center and Ella won all the money.  Technically Grandpa won the first round, but he was insistent that we play again so one of the grandkids could win the money.  He is so sweet and always thinking of others.

Nana/Papa and Community Christmas

Nana/Papa sleepover 2022

We left Nana and Papa’s Saturday morning to head to Ben Lomond High School to help with the Community Christmas.  This event was amazing.  They provided Christmas to over 2000 children/650 families.  The parents had to pre register for the event.  Kyson, me, Zac and Tegan all helped sign people in when they arrived there.  Once there were signed in they headed down a hall that had community resources and information.  They had people “elves” taking the kids upstairs to play at a carnival while the parents met with all the people from the community and picked out their kids Christmas gifts.  I loved seeing all the people come in and being able to tell them Merry Christmas.  I hope my boys realize this is what Christmas is all about.  In a world where we have SO MUCH, it’s important to give back to those in need.  Beckem and Boden helped upstairs at the carnival with Krystal and her family.  I was so grateful because all the boys were willing to help and didn’t complain.  I love the holidays!!

December 2022

We finally got enough snow to make an igloo.  Tegan and Kyson hung out there for hours

Beckem and Tegan

Look how cute Rocky looked under the tree.  I feel like this should be on a Christmas postcard or something.  Life is TOO GOOD!!

Ruby being her cute self!!

Beckem and Boden had a choir concert and in Bodens class they sang the song from the Grinch.  Boden was all excited because he got to dress up as the grinch and walk around.  They absolutely love their teachers this year and are having so much fun at school.

I was getting ready one day and Boden came running into my room and said,  “mom hurry come help me, the toilet is smoking” I went with him into his bathroom to find this HA HA I was dying!!

Ruby had her Christmas recital and she did SO GOOD!!

I found this list in Boden’s room and couldn’t resist taking a picture.  Look how funny and cute this is.  They are always trying to make money somehow ha ha

One night Tegan told Zac he wanted to cut the sides of his hair and he asked me to make an appointment with Krystal.  Zac didn’t want to wait for fear he would change his mind so he took him in the bathroom and cut it for him.  I think Zac should be a barber, he looks hot cutting hair ;)

This is before the cut. . . Big wings or not, I think he is pretty dang handsome!!
