10 commandments lesson

We had such a great lesson today in Relief Society about the commandments.  We were talking about how a lot of people view the commandments as a restriction, but how they actually are meant to give us freedom.  A woman in our ward shared a study that I thought was awesome.  People were saying that kids shouldn't have fences at school around the playground because it is restricting.  They did a study with 10 schools.  They took down the fence in 5 schools and left the other fences up at the remaining schools.  The 5 schools that no longer had fences had a huge increase in behavioral problems.  When they looked further into this, the kids said they didn't feel safe.  The creativity also declined at these schools as well.

This is a lot like the commandments.  They are there to help us feel safe and help us be able to be creative and reach our full potential in life.  I love the gospel and the comfort that it gives to me.  I know this is the true church and am so grateful for the blessings that I receive when I follow the commandments.  The Lord is AMAZING!!

Fun at Krystal's

We are so excited for the warm weather.  We celebrated the other day at Krystal's with her pools and the sprinkler under the tramp.  The boys had so much fun and I think Roz did too.

Scott sent us these pictures of Sophia.  I love seeing pictures of her.  I wish they lived closer.

Fun with Thomas

I LOVE spending time with my Grandpa.  The other day while the boys were mowing the lawn, we were playing with Grandpa in the garage.  He was playing so cute with the boys, I loved it!!  He holds such a special place in my heart.  I LOVE him so much!!

Baseball Season is Starting

I LOVE baseball season and so do my boys.  Kyson had practice the other night and Beckem couldn't wait to take his stuff and play.  He looked so cute carrying his big baseball bag, I had to get a picture. Now, let the baseball games begin :)

Finally got a Bench

I was so excited last weekend I found a piano bench that matched my piano perfectly.  Zac took it all apart and made it more sturdy and then I painted it and stained it just like the piano.  I was SO HAPPY that it fit together so well.   Now I just need to get it tuned and I can start taking lessons.  I am SO EXCITED!!

Tegan's Dream Car

When we went out to see Marv at his shop the other night, Tegan's dream car was there.  A red super snake mustang.  He was SO EXCITED!!  I hope one day he will be able to afford to get one, but for now we will just keep on dreaming.  He is so dang fun. . . can you tell he loves red : )

Cayson's Birthday Party

Kailey and Cayson Ranger invited the boys to Kangaroo Zoo for Cayson's birthday party  The boys love hanging out with them.  We were so sad when they moved, they were such great friends in the neighborhood but we are happy they aren't moving too far away.

Fun Filled Saturday

Last Saturday was a fun filled day.  We started the day out with Beckem's soccer game then we headed to "Thomas" house to mow his lawn.  On our way back home we went grocery shopping and then Zac headed to Brigham for a golf tournament.  I decided instead of sitting at home all night we should go have some fun.  We loaded up and I took the boys to Lagoon for a few hours.  It was pretty cold, but the boys didn't seem to mind.  They went on the shark ride and got soaking wet, they were LOVING it.  I was cold just watching them.  Watching their giggles and them laughing together was the best thing ever.  On our way home we stopped and visited Grandma Mason.  It was a fun filled Saturday :)

Another fun Saturday at Lagoon

We went down to Lagoon again yesterday.  It was the perfect weather.  Another fun day together with the family!!

Random Fun

 Boden loves "Thomas"
Tegan got to hold the snake at Nana's work.  He was so excited

Roz was loving playing baseball with Uncle Zac.  I love watching Zac with our little nieces, since I don't get to see him with girls very often.  It melts my heart : )

One day while we were at the park, the boys found themselves some snakes.  They were SO EXCITED!!  Oh I love boys!!

My sweet Tegan

I came home from a really long day at a conference I had to go to and Tegan brought this to me.  He told me he made me a bouquet of flowers.  My heart melted.  I LOVE when my boys make little things for me.  They are the things that mean the most to me.
Tegan had his first blue and gold banquet.  He is growing up so fast and is so dang handsome!!

We are so proud of him, he got "falcon of the month" in March.

My Handy Man

I LOVE that Zac is not afraid to take anything apart, see how it works and make it better.  The other night I came down from getting the boys ready for bed to Zac taking my piano completely apart to clean it.  I was freaked out, but he was able to actually get all new felt circles under the keys.  I LOVE my piano and I LOVE that my handy man helped me make it even that much better!! I am so lucky to have him!!

Easter Weekend

We started our Easter weekend out with an Easter egg hunt in Pleasant View.  We didn't know Krystal and Jayk were going there too, but we were excited that Roz and Bo got to go candy hunting together.

After the hunt we headed down to Lagoon.  It was opening day.  This year for Christmas we got the kids season passes.  I think it will be such a fun family activity this summer.

Kyson was so excited because he wasn't tall enough last year to go on the rocket, but he grew just enough to go on it this year.

After we spent a few hours at Lagoon it was off to Nana and Papa's for their Easter dinner.  We had a yummy dinner and had an Easter egg hunt for all the kiddos.

On Easter day we hung out at home and enjoyed time together as a family.  Such a great weekend!!
