Tegan Started Basketball

Teg started basketball this year.  I feel bad because he has never even really seen how to play the game besides his basketball camp he went to two years ago, but he is doing so good. It's so fun to go to his games and watch him play.  He is a FAST runner.  I love that my boys are starting to get into sports, I LOVE watching sports and I love it even more when Zac or the boys are playing.

Random Pictures of our Random Life

I love my boys so much, they are so dang cute.
They were sitting watching T.V. so cute, but Tegan is starting to hate when I take his picture so he hid under the blanket, but the other two LOVE their pictures taken.
These boys are obsessed about playing in our toy bins.  Everyday they dump out the toys and play in it all day long.  Kyson is so cute with Beckem and Boden, he is such a big helper during the day with them.

These two are best buddies, Kyson loves when Tegan gets home and they can play.  They are so dang cute!!
I love that I get to watch Rozlyn two days a week.  It's so busy, but so fun!!  I love that gives me my girl fix since I have never had a little girl.  She is such a good baby!!
Best buddies!!

Grandpa Thomas' Buddy

Every time we eat Sunday dinner at my mom's house Bo manages to find his way over to Grandpa Thomas and clean up his plate at the end of dinner.  Grandpa is such a good sport and just lets the little man finish off his dessert or jello, whatever is in front of him.  I love my Grandpa so much and I am so grateful that my kids have the opportunity to spend time with this amazing man.  I have always been Grandpa's heart-breaker and I always will be, he has such a special place in my heart!!  I love you Grandpa!!

Happy New Year!!

This year was by far one of the funnest new years eves I have ever had.  Our really good friends, Dave and Bre, texted us and invited us to go to dinner and the movies with a group of people.  We were so excited to hang out with everyone because we haven't seen them since we moved.  We went to see The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and then we went to Bistro to eat.  It was so fun. I think there was about nine couples total.

After dinner we went and picked up the kids and headed over to Dave and Bre's house.  Dave and Bre are one of my favorite people in this world.  They are so nice and are so down to earth.  I miss living by them so much!!  We weren't going to stay the whole time because I thought the kids would get tired and want to go home, but I was wrong.  They partied hard and had a blast.  Even Bo stayed up the whole time.  We played games, ate treats, embarrassed ourselves with a dance off and then celebrated the new year.  Bre and Dave are the funnest party people ever.  About 15 minutes before midnight Dave started handing out the goodies.  They had hats, noise makers, confetti poppers and tons more fun things.  The countdown began and then at midnight the house went crazy.  I have never seen so much confetti in my life.  It was SO FUN!!  After all the kisses were exchanged and the adults had their toast we all put on our coats and headed outside for some fireworks.  We were over at their house until 1:30 a.m. It was A BLAST!!  I couldn't believe my kids all stayed up that late, but they LOVED it.  Thanks Dave and Bre for such an amazing New Years Eve Party and here's to a great year!!  Goodbye 2013 and hello 2014!!
Beckem loved this helmet and football.  He is obsessed with sports already : )

Pictures lost

I haven't blogged for awhile because my phone stopped working on New's Years Eve and lost all my pictures.  I have been so sad because all Christmas pictures and our picture with Santa is gone, but I figured that they are only a few pictures and life still goes on, right.  We had a great Christmas.  With our grandparents passed away it made for a very different Christmas this year.  On Christmas Eve we went to my mom's for her traditional dinner.  I was doing fine until we all loaded in the car to go up there and then I lost it.  I was so grumpy at dinner and it's just because I was trying so hard not to cry.  My Grandmas both came to our Christmas Eve dinner every year and it was hard to not have them there.  I miss them so much.  I am so grateful and jealous too that they have moved to the next step in our journey, but I still miss them like crazy!!

After dinner we drove out to the Roy Fire Station and saw those lights, they were AMAZING!!  Then we just drove all over enjoying the Christmas lights and decorations that people put out for all of us to enjoy.  We drove up above Weber State and I was so sad to see that all those houses that I remember as a child being amazing are no longer decorated.  I was so disappointed, but we found other houses that were decorated.   After we saw the lights we headed home.  Tegan kept saying, "we better get home or Santa might not stop at our house"  I LOVE the MAGIC of Christmas!!  It's so much fun!!

Christmas morning Tegan woke up early and came into our room and whispered in my ear, mom I think I hear someone on the roof.  Maybe he heard Santa who knows : )  but when we all went downstairs Santa surprised us with a room full of presents.  The boys were so excited.  Every year we have all the boys buy all their brothers something and put it under the tree.  It was so cute, even though they were so excited for Santa gifts both Tegan and Kyson stopped before opening any presents and said, can we go open the ones from our brothers first.  I hope they will always love the gift of giving around the holidays and I hope they always stay good friends.

Usually we spend all of Christmas day running from house to house visiting our many grandparents and parents, but this year was so different.  My parents did the traditional morning visit to see if Santa came and then we got a phone call from Zac's mom saying that  Zac's dad was really sick so they didn't want us to come up and get the sickness.  So we hung out at our house and even got to take a nap which was so nice.  Then later in the afternoon we went out to see Grandpa Thomas for awhile and on our way home we made a quick trip to see Zac's Grandpa and Grandma Miller (we hardly ever get to see them, so it was good to go and say hello).  Then we headed home and enjoyed a movie night with the kids.  It was so relaxing and nice.
Christmas is my favorite time of year.  Not because of all the gifts and commercial stuff of it, but because life feels different.  You can just say Merry Christmas to a complete stranger and you feel so good inside.  I love that every song on the radio is about love, peace or Christ.  I am sad that it's over, but can't wait for next year : )
