Spokane, WA

My good friend Waller just moved back to the United States from Italy.  We have known each other a long time and I missed seeing her.  She moved to Spokane, WA and I had to go to a hospital there to help with some treatments.  I was able to fly in early and spend the day with Waller and her two girls.  The day before I got there Waller ran into Gay Marie Stenquist (she was an RN on OB) on base and asked if she wanted to join us for lunch the next day.  Gay Marie was an RN when I was manager and she retired after I left the hospital.  It was so fun to catch up with both of them and to hang out with Waller for most of the day.  I am so grateful for great friends that I have in my life.   

 

Bull Riding and Fishing

I was so sad we didn’t get to go to a rodeo this year.  We heard about the Last Chance Rodeo on the radio and it was down south.  Zac told me to buy tickets and we would make a weekend out of it.  It was conference weekend so we thought we could listen to conference while we fished.  Friday night we headed down South and it was actually all the professional bull riders.  The boys loved watching them.  After the event we headed down to Uba Lake but it was so dark so we couldn’t see where we should go.  It was pretty late to we just parked the trailer and went to bed.  When we woke up we realized that the lake was SO LOW!!  There was NO WAY we were going to be able to dock a boat in it let alone fish.  We then made a family decision to head over to Strawberry and camp/fish there.  The drive was BEAUTIFUL with all the different color leaves.  Once we got parked and settled we took the boat out and had a great day fishing.  I was so sad because we couldn’t get reception to stream conference but it was still a fun relaxing time as a family!!  We are SO BLESSED and I am go grateful for the many memories we are able to make together.  

 

Oregon 2022

 The last time we had a trip to Oregon it was cancelled a few days in due to a fire and having to be emergently evacuated.  We finally scheduled  another trip and tried it again.  It was such an AMAZING and RELAXING trip!!  The best week of the year by far!!  We just hung out in the condo, played in the pool and played on the beach.  We didn’t have an agenda and we just relaxed the entire time.  It was WONDERFUL!!
