I am an aunt AGAIN : )

Baby Kylee is finally here.  I was at work the day after she was born so I got to go up and love on her for a little while.  I LOVED it!!  She is so beautiful!!  Congrats Justin and Nicole. I LOVE being an aunt again : ) 



Visiting Great Grandpa Thomas

On Conference Sunday my Grandpa called me and said, "I am in the ER and I have bleeding on my brain" I told him I would be right up to be with him. My parents are on a Salt Lake mission and have to usher at all the conference sessions.  I tried calling them, but because it was just about time for conference to start we couldn't get a hold of them.  I got to the hospital and talked to the Dr. and he said they were admitting him and he had a significant bleed on his brain. 

 

My Grandpa had went out to get the paper that morning and after he bent over to get the paper he turned around and fell face first into the wall.  He broke his nose and had a small laceration on his head.  He drove himself down to the clinic in Roy but they were closed so he drove himself up to the ER.  He is so dang independent, I am just glad he didn't pass out or something while he was driving.

 

We got moved up to his room and in the mean time Justin was actually able to text my dad and let them know what was going on.  They immediately left conference and headed to McKay.  The next day we just waited to see what was going to happen.  The CT the did the next day showed his brain shifting to the right because of the pressure of the bleed so the Dr. decided to go in for surgery the next day.  My boys drew him pictures that night and my mom took them to him before surgery.  He smiled and told my mom, "I was thinking about it last night and I don't think it's time for me to go yet, I need to stay around and see these boys grow up some more"  : ) He loves the boys and they love him so much!!  For surgery they drilled holes in his head to relieve the pressure.  He was in ICU for two days and then on SIMC for two more days.  He was supposed to go to a Rehab center, but because of the circumstances of the places that were available my parents decided to take him home and have therapy come to his house while they took care of him24 hours a day.

 

The boys were dying to go see him, so we decided to go visit when he got home.  Boden kept saying, "Grandpa head ow wee"   

 

We love Grandpa so much and glad he is doing okay.  It will take some time for him to regain his strength, but he is a strong willed man.  We love the time we get to spend with him!!

"The best boy at school. . . "

The other day Kyson got off the bus and just started running towards me waving this paper and book and yelling, "mom, I am the best boy at school"  He was so excited to tell me that he got this award and he got to sit with the Principal at lunch on their very own table.  He was so happy.  We made cookies after he got home and he kept saying, "mom I am a really good boy huh"  He asked me multiple times.  It was so cute.  He was so proud of himself for getting the Falcon of the Month for Responsibility.  We are so proud of him, he is such a good kid in school and I love that someone is noticing. 

 After a little bit I heard Kyson reading to Beckem, I went to check on them and they were going through the scriptures marking every word that Kyson could read.  It was so dang cute.  We have such good boys, we are so proud of them!!

 Later that day we were playing outside and the boys found a grasshopper.  They thought it was fun to play with it on their heads.  They are all boy!!

Lunch with Great Grandpa Thomas

I try to go out about once a week and have lunch with one of my best friends.  I love the time we get to spend together and I love that my boys are so close to Great Grandpa Thomas as well.  He is such a great guy with a fun personality.  We love spending time with him.  We usually go to Article Circle so the kids can run wild on the play set. 

Black Island Farms Field Trip

We went to Black Island Farms with Beckem's Preschool.  We had never been there so we were excited to go and check it out.  I was so grateful my mom and dad could help out with the other kids so I could just go be with Beck.  It was such a fun day and he is such a cute kid.  He loved picking out his pumpkin, but most of all he loved the slide.  We went down it over and over and over again.  He's so fun!!

 

So lucky!!

I am so dang lucky to have such an amazing husband.  I came home from work one night and this was written on our garage floor.  He is so sweet to me and always goes out of his way to make sure I feel special.  He is my best friend and I am so grateful for the amazing friendship and marriage that we have.  He is the best!!

Boden's Baby

We were all trying to get ready for church and I walked upstairs and Boden said, "mom, shhhh my baby sleeping"  He carried that "baby" around all morning and love it.  It was so sweet!! 

Tegan's first love letter

One night while I was at work there was a knock on the door.  Beckem opened the door and all Zac heard was, will you give this to Tegan and she was off. 

On the outside of the envelope it said

For Tegan's Eyes ONLY

Inside was this note, "Tegan, I like you I love you really"  with a picture of a dragon.  He was SO EMBARRASSED!!  Zac called to tell me and he even told Zac not to tell me because he didn't want anyone to know.  The funny thing about the whole thing is she is 4th grade and he is only in 2nd.  Kids are so dang cute!! I am sure this won't be the last love letter he will get ; )  Girls are so funny!!
