Happy 4th of July

Beckem and Boden joined a running club in North Ogden and to finish off the season they ran a 5K to morning of the 4th.  When I picked up their packets I decided to register too.  It was fun to train with them and work back into running.  They kicked my butt during the race, but it was still fun to have a goal we worked on together.  I miss racing so much and LOVED being in a race again.

Amber and Markel McCloy did the race too, we saw them after the race and had to get a picture.

During the parade the loud noises kept scaring Ruby and she would hide next to Tegan and he would put his hand on her back to “protect” her.  It was so sweet to watch.  I sure do love all these kids!!

Fishing, Car Parade and Fireworks with the Kapps

The girls wanted to go fishing so bad, so they went with the boys to Willard pond.  Riggs wanted nothing to do with the yucky worms and fish ha ha but Rylan and Havyn had fun.  Brystal and Liv didn’t want to have anything to do with fishing either.  Liv was so funny, I asked her, what if a disaster happens and you need to fish to survive? Then she said, “that’s what a man is for, he can catch and cook my dinner”. Ha ha oh I love the Kapps so much!!  So grateful for our friendship and the laughs we have together.

Car parade in Logan

They are growing up so fast!!  They thought it would be funny to recreate pictures of when they were younger.  We were laughing so hard!!

Causey Dam with the Venable Family

The Venables invited us to go kayaking with them on the weekend before July 4th.  It was such a fun night of kayaking, swimming, rope swings and cliff jumping.  Can’t wait to do it again!!

Tegan’s Permit and A Trip to Boise, ID

As soon as we got back from Idaho I needed to go up to Boise for work.  We went Monday morning and got Tegan’s permit and then headed up to Boise.  I was trying to get Tegan to drive on the freeway up there but he wouldn’t.  He is such an amazing young man and it’s been fun watching him start to become a young adult.  We had the best time in Boise.  After my meetings at the hospital I took the boys to a fun center.  They had a blast driving the go-karts, playing arcades, riding rides, mini golfing and laser tag.  I love every chance I get to be with my boys and am so grateful for the memories we can make even when I am “working” ha ha
