Day Five-Last day in Disney

Every morning Beckem has to go and see his buddy as soon as he wakes up.  I love these seeing these two together.  They are cute little buddies.

While my dad was in line for the fast passes for the cars ride we decided to wait an hour in line for the ride as well.  We got pretty close to the ride in good time and then all the sudden the ride broke down : (  I wanted to leave, but Zac decided to wait the complete hour in line and if we still weren't on the ride then we would leave.  We waited an hour and ten minutes and it was fixed.  This ride was well worth the wait though, I LOVED it!!

 Flo's Cafe

 These two are such goofballs.

We went and met Lightening and Mater multiple times, the boys LOVED them!!  I loved that they actually talked to us, it was so cute.

This was in the 3D movie for Bugs Life, it was such a cute show.

My parents were troopers and took the older boys on the huge ferris wheel.

This ride was so cute, it was like a huge air hockey table.  It was bumper cars but with air.  You had to lean to make your tire move, it was so funny to watch these guys.

Waiting for the parade in California Adventure
I was amazed at all the Christmas lights on It's a Small World, it looked so amazing.
Tegan wanted to ride Splash Mountain again so bad, he loved that ride.  Since it was our last night my dad was such a trooper and said he would go with the boys on it.  It kind of helped that that ride is also my dad's favorite as well so we really didn't have to convince him very hard to go on it again.  Ha ha.  It was a little chilly and I didn't want to get wet, but grandpa put on his rain coat and headed for the ride.  There was no one in line so they were actually able to go on it three times in a row.  The second time when they got back the lady said, there's no one in line do you want to go again.  They were all for it so she just sent them threw again, they loved it.

While we were waiting we decided to head over and wait in line for Mickey one last time.  When we got over there Mickey's house said it was a 45 minute wait but we decided to go in and see.  There was NO ONE in line, we walked right in and we were the only ones in there to see Mickey.  Beckem LOVED it!!  He looked up at Mickey with the biggest smile and said, Mickey I LOVE YOU!!  Mickey signed back that he loves him too and Beckem said, "Mickey loves me??" It was so sweet.  I was so happy we went over to see him one more time!!  By the time we got done with Mickey my parents were headed to Toon-town with the older boys, we decided to just head to the middle of the park for fireworks and meet up there.

It's so cute, before the fireworks they played a magical song and then the lights came on just a little bit and it was snowing.  It looked so cute.  It's funny because we see snow all the time, but I guess people in California and other parts of the world never get snow for Christmas so it's fun to make it a little more Christmasy with the snow.  I loved the fireworks there, they do such a good job.  It's always so magical!!

After three long busy days we headed back to the condo.  My parents decided to go over to California Adventure to watch the water show one more time.  When we got back to the condo the kids crashed, it was three long busy days for them, but they were so good most of the time.  I was very proud of them.

Day Four-California Adventure

We were able to get 3 day hopper passes, which I was so excited because I had never been to California Adventure.  So, the second day we headed over there to check it out.
It worked out so nice to have my parents with us, because they watched the babies while we went on the rides and then we switched and sat with the babies while they went on the rides.  Tegan and Kyson loved it because that meant twice the rides for them.

The boys with Flick from Bug's Life
 Red from Cars

Radiator Springs or Carsland was by far my FAVORITE part of the trip.  Everything was done so well and I felt like I was actually in the movie.  I felt like I was five years old, I LOVED IT!!  The line for the Cars ride was a 2 hour wait so we decided to get fast passes the next day and ride it then.  The boys LOVED meeting Mator and Lighting.  I loved how they talk to you, it makes it so real.

Later that night we had seen most of California Adventure and the boys wanted to ride some more rides in Disneyland so we headed back over to the other park.  The boys wanted to go on a ride with grandpa and grandma so Zac and I just walked around with the babies.  Right after Beckem fell asleep Micky and Minnie came walking by us and hung out by us for a little bit.  It was so cute to watch them.  I wish Beckem would have been awake to see him, but it was still fun for Zac and I to hang out with the cute couple.
Mickey was being a dork for the camera.
Such a cute happy couple.  I love them!!

This day it was actually windy all day.  The wind calmed down a bit and we were so excited for the fireworks but when it came time for fireworks they actually got cancelled because of the wind.  So we headed over to California Adventure for the water show and after it started about 10 mins into it they cancelled it because of the wind.  Oh well, gotta love mother nature, huh.

Kyson actually fell asleep on the top of the stroller on the way back to the condo.  When he curled up he actually fit perfectly on the top of the stroller. It was so cute.

Day Three-Disneyland

The day was finally here when the boys were on their way to meet Mickey. We were only about three blocks from the park so we just walked over everyday. My parent's hotel room was just down the street from our condo so they just walked to our condo and we all walked over together.  Zac put all the boys on the stroller and it was genius because we didn't have to keep track of where the boys were when we went through all the crowds.  It was so nice.  We got so many comments and looks as well, it was pretty funny.

Beckem was ecstatic when we finally got to see Mickey, he LOVES him!!
The whole park was decorated for Christmas and Christmas music was playing throughout the park.  I love it there around Christmas time, it's so fun!! This isn't a very good picture, but the tree at the end of Main Street was so big and beautiful!!

Day One and Two. . . The Drive

The excitement had built so strong at our house starting a few months ago when the boys found out we were going to take them to Disneyland.  We kept telling them that we were going after Thanksgiving and when Thanksgiving came and went the count down began.  The boys were so excited and I am not going to lie, I was pretty excited as well.

The day came when it was time to finally head out.  We sent Tegan and Kyson to school while we got everything packed up and then we went and picked Kyson up, got some lunch and then checked Tegan out of school.  We were finally off.  The first day we drove to St. George and stopped and gave the boys a break from their car seats and let them run around the condo and we slept over night there.

The next morning we got up, had a good breakfast (love the condo, especially for the fact that I can cook in the condo and we don't have to go out for every meal) and we were finally off to CALIFORNIA!!  It only took us another six hours and we were in Anaheim, CA.  When we got there it was about 50 degrees.  It was so nice!!
On our way to St. George we saw this sun-dog. I had never seen one before, it's was pretty cool to see.
In Anaheim we were on the 10th floor and it was starting to cool off a bit, hence the reason Tegan is pulling that face.  He was freezing during the picture.
All three boys shared a bed and Bo slept in the pack-n-play in our room.  It worked out so much better than I thought.

My parents flew into California about the same time we got to Anaheim.  After they got checked into their hotel room they came over to our condo and we ordered some Chinese food and hung out in the condo.  Our room overlooked Disneyland so we were able to watch the fireworks from our condo window.

Temple Square Lights

I LOVE Christmas time.  I don't really love what the world has turned it into, but I love the season and the feel of Christmas.  Christmas isn't about how much money you spend, it's about the memories you make with each other and that's my favorite part.  One of my favorite things to do is go down to Salt Lake and look at the lights.  Zac HATES crowds, but he is such a good sport to go with me and try to enjoy it for me.  I am always so amazed at the number of lights on each tree, it's amazing!!

When we got out of the truck Beckem yelled, "mom, it's Disneyland" I just laughed and said, no that's not the Disneyland castle, that's the Lord's castle.  We are headed to Disneyland tomorrow and my boys are SO EXCITED, obviously ha ha!!

Bo was so tired and was leaning over the side of the stroller and we thought for sure he was asleep by the way he was sitting, but he wasn't, he was just taking hanging out. He's such a good baby!!

There is nothing better than being with my family. I love them so much!!

Thanksgiving

I absolutely love the holidays.  We always have so much fun with our families.  This year it was the Miller's side to have Thanksgiving dinner so we went and ate lunch at Carla and Dave's house.  The food was so yummy and there was TONS!!  After lunch we came home and let the boys take a nap and then we headed up to my mom and dad's to hang out, eat pie and go do our traditional game of bowling.  I was so excited because Scott and Sandra were able to fly in from California.  I love when we are all together.  We are so blessed to have such great families to get to spend the holidays with!!

Kyson turned FIVE

It's hard to believe that my little guy is already FIVE.  Kyson's actual birthday was Saturday (which was also Grandpa Mason's funeral so we celebrated a couple days early)  We were feeling bad because we didn't want him to have a sad birthday and then I was worried that we would be sad because Nana and Papa weren't there to celebrate, but we had a party Thursday night with our family, he had his preschool party on Friday and then after the funeral we went and hung out at Nana and Papas and they sang to him there.  He said he loved having three birthdays this year.  Ha ha I guess that made up for the unexpected change of plans and worry about him not having a good birthday.

For our family celebration we always let them pick where they want to go as a family and they get to pick the restaurant for dinner.  Kyson wanted to go to the trampoline park and go get pizza.  So that is what we did.  After dinner my parents and Great Grandpa Thomas met us at our house and celebrated with some cake and ice cream.  I kept asking him what kind of cake he wanted and he wanted a tractor cake (the same as the past two years) He LOVES anything that pulls trailers and tractors.  He was SO EXCITED when he got to help me decorate his cake.  It was so fun to get to spend the entire day Thursday with him and just making him feel so special all day.  He kept asking if he could open is presents and I kept telling him he had to wait for dad to come home to open them and I told him, "that is the best part of your birthday, is the waiting and the excitment" and he said to me, "that's the lamest part"  I just cracked up.

I love Kyson so much!!  He is such a sweetheart and such a good helper around the house.  He LOVES the elderly and babies.  He has been saying lately that he wants to be a doctor and I wouldn't be surprised if he was because he LOVES taking care of people.  He still LOVES the color orange, he is so friendly with everyone, he is such a good big brother, and he is still as spunky as ever.  I don't know what our family would do without him.  He makes life so much fun, we love you buddy!!
Boden was so excited when he woke up to the house decorated with balloons everywhere, it was little kid heaven.
Look how handsome my little man is. . .

Like I said, he loves the elderly and Grandpa Thomas is definitely one of those people he has a special place in his heart for.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY our big FIVE year old : )
