Discovery Gateway

This past week all Intermountain employees and their families could get in to Discovery Gateway for only $5.00 a person.  We had never been down there so we decided to take the boys down on Saturday.  It was SO MUCH FUN!!  This is a child's heaven, it is so much BETTER than our Tree House Museum we have here in Ogden.  There are little stations where the kids can go wild.  There was a construction site, a house, a market, a gas station, a rock climbing wall, a farm, a KSL news station, a plumber station, a science section, and tons more.

My favorite by far was the Intermountain spot.  There is a retired Life Flight helicopter on the roof of the building.  You could go sit in the helicopter and it would sound just like it was taking off, it was so loud.  It would give you three different scenarios for patients that are in need of Life Flight.  Once you got out of the helicopter there was a patient  you could wheel into the ER, inside the building you could do an x-ray, CT scan, and then you could take them to OR and operate.  They had patients on a table with I-pads in them and the boys operated on their arm and leg.  It was so fun.  I felt like a little kid playing with all the boys.  You would think I wouldn't be so excited about it since I work in a hospital, but I was giggling and loving it  up like a school girl.

This was a hurricane tunnel.  They could go into this tunnel and feel how strong the winds are in a hurricane.

A beautiful place

I went to meet Zac at work the other day and as I was sitting outside looking at the work that he has done I just thought how lucky we are to have such amazing temples on this Earth.  Zac, his dad and his brother are the only ones that were asked to work on the inside of the temple.  They told them that they do the best work on the crew.  They were honored.  He is working on the Celestial room right now, he said it is BEAUTIFUL!!  I can't wait until this next summer when it is done and we go do a session and enjoy the blessings of a temple so close to us again.  Though it's kind of bitter sweet because it has been SO NICE having Zac work so close to home, it will be nice to have a temple in Ogden again.

Tegan lost his first tooth

A couple days ago Tegan showed us that one of his teeth were "wiggly" and then about two nights later he showed me that he could pretty much bend it all the way back and forth so we decided it was time to pull it out.  He was so scared it was going to hurt, but we did it quick and painless.  He was SO EXCITED to have the toothfairy bring him his surprise.  The toothfairy brought some gum and a dollar bill.  Now the tooth next to it is starting to wiggle.  Tegan is growing up so fast.  So here is to the beginning of my toothless child.

Random Pictures of the Mason household lately

Beckem and Daddy watching football together.  I love that Beckem always sits like this and sometimes even sleeps like this.
Beckem was being a "baseball" guy the other night while we were watching the playoffs for the world series and he threw a train at Kyson's eye.  You can't see it very good in this picture, but he got a pretty good black eye from it.  Yesterday was black day at preschool and Kyson was so excited when he woke up and told him that.  He said, "yes, I can show my black eye for show and tell"  I just laughed, I guess Beckem did him a favor, kind of. . .
Beckem is always trying to give Boden hugs, they are starting to play so cute together.
Zac and I were just talking in the kitchen one night and we looked over and Kyson was so focus on what he was doing.  I asked him, what is it that you are doing over there.  This was his response, "mom, I have preschool tomorrow and I need to pack my lunch in case I get hungry."  He then showed us what he packed, it was popcorn, sour patch kids, salt water taffy, oreos and some baseball cards "just in case I get bored"  I just laughed and yes he really took it to preschool the next day, there was no talking him out of it.  He is so dang cute!!
This boy loves cotton candy, or any food for that matter. . .
Kyson in his fort he built
We watch Rozlyn two days a week, she is such a good baby and all my boys LOVE her!!  She's pretty fun!!

Gardner Village

One of Diana's favorite places is Gardner Village.  Every fall she likes to take all the girls on the Mason side and spend a day shopping.  I have only been twice and the first time I said I would never go back because I think everything is so OVERPRICED and outrageous, but Zac talked me into going and just getting crafting ideas.  Yeah, not so much this year.  I am not a Halloween decorations really, but their witch displays were cool to see.  This time it was so CROWDED with hundreds of women dressed as witches.  It was fun to see everyone's costumes, but it definitely made it impossible to look at the shops.  I definitely will never go back over witches fest but it was a fun day out with the girls.

There were these witches all over doing funny little things.  This one was jumping into the pond below.  It was cute.
Diana and Brandje made a Halloween purchase, these headbands.  We couldn't stop laughing at them, but it is cute for Halloween.

Oh I love all the fun that comes with boys. . .

When we put our old house for sell all I kept telling Zac was, "I just want a house that the boys can just run and play, catch snakes and bugs and just be boys with the funnest childhood ever"  Little did I know this house has all of that and more.  This neighborhood is FULL of boys, I seriously think there are at least 20 boys from the ages of 5-8 just within a quarter of a mile of our house.  There is a huge field behind our house that gives us the pleasure of finding snakes DAILY and the boys find frogs daily as well.  The boys love going to the tree house that is in the other field by our house as well.  I LOVE it here.  We have finally found our HOME and it's so nice!!  It is crazy how we ended up here but I am so glad for the power of inspiration and for the Lord guiding us to this house.  It's everything I could ask for and more.  The boys are loving it and I love watching them enjoy their childhood.
Here are just a few pics of the many critters we catch daily.  I LOVE IT!!

I love my boys so much. I wish I could freeze time.  They are growing up so fast.  Although day to day can be challenging at times, I really LOVE the joy that they bring to our lives.  I love the energy they have and the friendships they share.  They are SO MUCH FUN!!

Boden was already in bed the other night when I got this picture, they were all getting ready for bed so they look a little ragged but they are still cute to me : )  We will have to snap a pic with Boden in it later on. (I love that Kyson can't ever be normal for a picture, that's totally his personality though ha ha ha)
I love my cute little young men.

Today Kyson came in the house from being dropped off from preschool.  Kyson was holding a drink holder with a large Pepsi, a turkey and swiss sandwich and a small pepsi.  Kyson said, "here mom, I told Bre to buy you some lunch today because I know you really like these."  I texted my cute friend Bre and told her she didn't need to buy me some lunch.  She texted back that she had stopped to buy the kids some Arby's on the way home and when she got up to order Kyson told her, "will you buy my mom one too, she really likes those and she likes pepsi, a large one"  ha ha ha.  I felt so bad that Bre spent her money on me for lunch, but it melted my heart to hear how much Kyson cares about me.  It's the little things that make feel so blessed to have four amazing boys to watch out for me and protect their mom : )  I am so lucky!!

We're pretty lucky here. . .

The other day Krystal was watching my boys while I was at work and this is the conversation that Kyson and Krystal had while they were making cookies. . . .
Kyson: "Krystal, see this thing in our sink, it has soap in it.  Do you have a thing in your sink that has soap in it??"
Krystal: "I just have my soap in a container on the side of my sink, instead of having it in my faucet"
Kyson: "Watch what our faucet can do." (as he turns the faucet from the stream to the sprayer with a touch of a button) "Does your sink do that Krystal??"
Krystal: "I have a sprayer but it's on the side of my faucet.  So I have one it's just a little different than yours"
Kyson sat in deep thought for a minute and then said to Krystal, "We are pretty lucky here"

This made me smile and then made me truly think how lucky we are.  I get so caught up in the day to day things and seeing what the world has to offer but if I could just become more like my children and realize that I am so lucky to have all my needs met, a nice house to enjoy everyday, four amazing boys that bring me so much happiness, my best friend by my side to enjoy this amazing journey called life, the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Chirst, amazing extended family. . . I could go on and on because I am so blessed.  I think we all are so blessed to live in the world we live in today.  It's an amazing place and we just need to slow down and realize how lucky we are for the lives, the trials, the happiness and the joy that we have been given.  It's a BEAUTIFUL thing!!  LUCKY US!!
